Make the Most out of this Holiday Season

It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year, and at Hunter Quinn Homes, we wanted to let you in on all of the incredible events you could be taking part in this month to get ready for the Christmas season. 

Get into the Christmas spirit with these holiday parades

Gather up your friends and family and stop by for a few of these great holiday parades around the area. 

Start your parade tour off on Saturday, December 11 at 9:30 a.m. at the Christmas in the Creek Holiday Parade in the town of Goose Creek. Then on Sunday, you’ll definitely want to fit the Summerville Christmas Parade into your schedule—and what’s better, our team at Hunter Quinn will be a part of the procession. We’re so excited to be able to participate in this parade, so make sure you get a front row spot on December 12 at 2 p.m. If you’re still not ready to call it quits after this, come out to see us again that evening to watch the night come alive at the 26th Annual Christmas Light Parade in Mount Pleasant. When the sun goes down—the festivities begin. Starting at 5:30 p.m., watch the brightly lit floats pass by, listen to the bands play and make sure you keep an eye out for Santa. 

Take a drive through the bright lights

One light show you’ll always want to keep coming back to is the Holiday Festival of Lights event that takes place at James Island County Park. Each night from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. enjoy the incredible light display the festival has in store as you make your way through the path. The fun doesn’t end there, though—explore Santa’s Village and the Winter Wonderland set up and take home some tasty treats or personalized gifts to end the night. For something perfect for the kids, stop by the festival on Friday December 10 or 17 for a special storytime with Mrs. Clause.

For another incredible light show to drive through, take a trip to Moncks Corner. Up until December 30, you could spend your nights enjoying the Holiday Lights Driving Tour from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and what makes it even more special is the fact that all admission proceeds will be given out to local charities. 

Enjoy the night time festivities

If you need another reason to stop by the town of Moncks Corner, you can always take part in this year’s Celebrate the Season Holiday Festivals. During the event, you’ll be able to take a trip around the area on the MoCo Locomotive, stop by the craft station or write your own letter to Santa, browse the craft market for unique gifts for your loved ones and so much more. This event will be taking place on December 10 through the 12 and the 17 through the 19 with Friday and Saturday hours going from 6-9 p.m. and Sunday hours going from 2-6 p.m., giving you plenty of opportunities to join in on the festivities.
