Win High Water Music Festival Tickets at Creekside at Horizon Village

The High Water Music Festival is returning to North Charleston for its third year in a row and tickets will probably sell out once again. Even if that happens, you can still experience one of the premiere events at Riverfront Park, coming April 13 and 14 by entering for your chance to win two tickets! Stop by Hunter Quinn’s Creekside at Horizon Village Model home in North Charleston between now and March 30, 2019 and register for your chance to get in on the festival.

If you’re a fan of blues, folk, rock, country, pop, and indie styles, High Water Music Festival is a can’t-miss event. Every minute fills Riverfront Park with live music that crosses genres.

This year’s line-up for the 2-day festival will not disappoint. Lily Hiatt kicks off the High Water Musical Festival on Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m. Lily’s heartfelt, gritty rock music is like a diary of her personal turmoils and survival.

She is followed by folk musician, Michael Nau and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Butch Walker. Next, Shrimp Records Family Band brings together members of Charleston’s recording community: Shovels & Rope, Indianola, Punks & Snakes, Mechanical River, Bill Carson, and Slow Runner, a melange of musical talents that is a rare occurrence.

Locals Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst—known musically as Shovels & Rope—always draw a crowd and will likely be doing it again when they take the stage Sunday night, April 14.

Throughout the weekend, you can experience an unmatched array of music. The legendary Preservation Hall Band performs Sunday afternoon. Be there for The Secret Sisters, Nashville rockers Thelma & the Sleaze, Gullah band Ranky Tanky, Indie artists Dr. Dog, Lord Huron, The Head and The Heart, R&B star Leon Bridges, singer-songwriter Jenny Lewis, award-winning country artist Hayes Carll, and many more performers.

Feasting at the festival

What’s music without celebratory feasts? This year’s festival serves up an extensive menu of food and drinks as unique as the musical talent there.

There’s no shortage of choices to satisfy your appetite. Chicken, BBQ, corn dogs, pizza, Yaki-Soba noodles, Greek specialties, Japanese soul bowls, salads, wraps, fruit, hand-crafted donuts, pastries, and ice cream are some of the exquisite edibles available. Bootlegger Coffee, beer, wine, and libations will be flowing, too.

For something a bit more formal, the Low Tide Social is the first course of the weekend festival. Friday night, April 12, enjoy an al fresco dinner of low country boil and oysters, followed by delectable desserts, and specialty cocktails.

How about a Southern brunch on the Quarters H lawn? Pass the Peas is a curated feast from 11:30 to 1 on Saturday and Sunday, prepared by nationally renowned chefs. The meal includes locally crafted spirits from Proof and a selection of exquisite wines.
